2018 Boston Montreal Tour
NVYS will embark on their next tour June 13-20, 2018 to Boston and Montreal. We strive to create a rich cultural experience for our musicians which includes unique performance opportunities, music education workshops, historical tours and orchestra team building. We are excited to announce that our 2018 tour will include:
- Boston Symphony Orchestra Master Class
- Boston Pops Concert
- Walking Tours of the Freedom Trail, Vieux Montreal (Old Montreal) and Montreal's Biodome
- Workshop at McGill University Schulich School of Music
- Performances at Faneuil Hall, Melrose Hall (Boston area), Christ Church (Montreal)
- Ireland, Scotland and England, June, 2016
This memorable tour started off with a performance in the acoustically rich St. Patrick's Cathedral in Dublin, Ireland. After a workshop at Kings College and taking in the sites of Dublin (Book of Kells, Guinness Factory, Viking Museum) NVYS was off to explore the beauty of Edinburgh, Scotland complete with a private Ceiligh (traditional Scottish square dance) with live band just off the Royal Mile. Performance #2 was in the charming walled city of York at the University of York. The tour came to close in the Big Smoke with a side trip to Oxford. Musicians explored the history of London and completed the two week tour with a performance at St. John's Smith Square with the Thames Youth Symphony. Wow!

NVYS enjoyed an unforgettable tour of the Big Apple, which included a “Young Composers Workshop,” hosted by the New York Philharmonic, sitting in on a closed rehearsal of the New York Philharmonic and performances at the Central Park Band Shell and legendary Carnegie Hall.
