The Napa Valley Youth Symphony (NVYS) empowers young musicians from all backgrounds through exceptional music education, orchestral training, and transformative performance opportunities.

Our mission is rooted in the belief that every young person deserves access to high-quality musical experiences that foster creativity, discipline, and a lifelong appreciation for the arts.

NVYS is committed to creating an organization that values diversity, equity, and inclusion. We offer partial tuition and lesson scholarships based on financial need to student musicians accepted into one of our ensembles.

We believe that cost should never be a barrier to participation.

NVYS was founded with a simple belief — every young musician in Napa Valley deserves access to outstanding orchestral training, regardless of background or financial means.

Since its founding, NVYS has garnered many accolades, including recognition of achievement by United States Senator Barbara Boxer and multiple invitations to perform at Carnegie Hall.
