The Napa Valley Youth Symphony performed at the Viennese Masters Invitational in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall, showcasing the extraordinary talent and dedication of our young musicians on one of the world’s most celebrated concert stages.  As part of their tour, the musicians also explored New York City and participated in a private clinic with Maestro Michael Adelson, festival clinician and Associate Conductor of the New York Philharmonic. This unforgettable experience combined world-class performance opportunities with invaluable educational growth, creating lasting memories for our NVYS musicians.

NVYS toured the musical capitals of Central Europe, retracing the footsteps of three of the continent's defining composers across Germany, the Czech Republic, and Austria.

The tour opened with a Boston Symphony Orchestra masterclass and a performance of West Side Story by the Boston Pops, then continued to Montreal for a second masterclass at McGill's Schulich School of Music, performances at Faneuil Hall and Christ Church, and a joint concert with the Claflin Hill Youth Symphony — capped off, memorably, with a group poutine party.

A two-week tour that opened in the acoustically rich St. Patrick's Cathedral in Dublin, continued through a private Ceilidh in Edinburgh and a performance at the University of York, and closed in London with a joint concert alongside the Thames Youth Symphony at St John's Smith Square.

NVYS sat in on a closed New York Philharmonic rehearsal, took part in the Philharmonic's Young Composers Workshop, and performed at the Central Park Band Shell and Carnegie Hall.

NVYS toured two of classical music's defining cities — Prague, Czech Republic, and Vienna, Austria — performing in the halls where the repertoire they study was written.

NVYS performed at Walt Disney Concert Hall and won top honors at the Los Angeles International Music Festival.

The orchestra's first international tour brought NVYS to New York City for a performance at Carnegie Hall.
