The Napa Valley Youth Symphony is delighted to once again host this annual event, which recognizes outstanding NVYS members and provides the opportunity to perform a movement of a concerto with full orchestral accompaniment.

Music in the Vineyards Masterclass
Music in the Vineyards Masterclass - STRING players planning to apply to the Concerto Competition are strongly encouraged to participate in this masterclass with the Maple Quartet at the Jarvis Conservatory. Please register by July 6th.

Performance Opportunity
Winner(s) will perform with the NVYS Youth Symphony at our Spring Concerto, tentatively scheduled for Sunday March 14, 2O27.
Competition Eligibility & Guidelines

Open to all NVYS Youth Symphony members in good standing.

Students may not win in two consecutive years, and may not win more than two times.

Students may compete on any instrument.

The judges reserve the right to choose one winner, multiple winners, or no winner.

Repertoire must be a standard work with orchestral parts available, and must be approved by the Music Director before applying.
