Erin Finkelstein
Erin Finkelstein is an active chamber and orchestral musician and is a member
of the Pacific Clarinet Quartet, Vapor Ensemble, and the Sacramento Choral
Society. Erin frelances frequently with the symphonies of the Carmel Bach Festival, Modesto, Sacramento, Stockton, Fresno and Monterrey. She has also played with orchestras of Santa Cruz and the Reno Chamber Orchestra, Pacific Arts Woodwind Quintet and the City Water Ensemble. Participation in festivals include the National Orchestral Institute in Maryland, Classical and Klezmer Institute in NYC, Domaine Forget Music Festival in Quebec, Canada, as well as the Bear Valley Music Festival in California.
As a passionate teacher, Erin has given master classes to hundreds of music
students on the west coast. She currently teaches clarinet and chamber music
at California State University, Stanislaus, and has been a guest lecturer of
clarinet and chamber music at the University of the Pacific. She maintains a large
private studio in Davis and Sacramento, and is the instructor of Clarinet at
the Sacramento School of Music. She recived her degrees in clarinet from the University of the Pacific, where she was a winner of the annual concerto competition, and then continuted to earn a Masters of Music at Arizona State. Erin is a Feldenkrais® practitioner and gives lessons in efficient and intelligent body movement education to musicians, artists and everyday individuals.
